  • Media reused stunningly

For the past 3 years Nick Gentry - whose self-portrait features on the right - has been using CDs, floppy disks and film negatives as the base material for portraits. These items come from contributors, bridging the gap between viewer and artist. The mediums remain visible under the paint and make for some interesting texture and the use of old media feels sentimental as we're increasingly digitalised. The artist studied at Central Saint Martins and recently had work shown in Hong Kong, Miami and New York.
